Girls Who Code:
Community Partnerships
Girls Who Code is an international nonprofit leading the movement to close the gender gap in technology. Girls Who Code cultivates relationships with nonprofit community partners to leverage their networks and broaden the reach of its brand and programs messaging.
Goal
Educate prospective and current nonprofit community partners on opportunities available through Girls Who Code while increasing engagement among existing partners.
Strategy
Refresh visual assets to educate prospective community partners on Girls Who Code programs and partnership benefits.
Standardize delivery of monthly newsletter to establish predictable touchpoints, build knowledge, and deepen relationships with community partners.
Develop newsletter content calendar to create a centralized and forward-looking planning document for cross-functional team announcements and to drive efficiency and quality in content creation.
Customize email and event outreach to the community partner audience segment.

Results
Girls Who Code added ninety-three new community partners in 2022, a 22% increase from the prior year. Across emails community partners received, the open rate was 38.87% (+12.276% from 2022 nonprofit industry average) and the CTR was 8.04% (+5.34% from 2022 nonprofit industry average). Analyzing newsletter engagement specifically, I achieved:
Average open rate: 44.44% (+17.84% from 2022 nonprofit industry average)
Average CTR: 12.02% (+9.32% from 2022 nonprofit industry average)
Average CTOR: 25.08% (+14.88% from 2022 nonprofit industry average)
